Meet Ali Lucas, M.A., LMFT-A
Embracing the mission of Hope & Resilience, Ali seeks to bring healing and wholeness to clients, especially those in major life transitions. She focuses on working with women and families through seasons of pregnancy, postpartum, and the various demands of growing family life.
Her firm belief is that people are inherently good, but often, our life experiences get in the way of understanding that goodness. Ali seeks to honor the dignity of each client she works with by using a client-centered and curious approach that looks at each person in the context of their relationships. While Ali enjoys incorporating Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy into her work, her main hope is to create a space where clients can feel safe to process their experiences and tailors treatment to each person's unique needs.
Ali received her Master’s in Family Therapy from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, and holds a Master’s in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. She has received additional training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and is Gottman Method Level 1 Certified. Ali has experience working in youth and young adult ministry, as well as serving families in foster care and in school settings. Ali is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate practicing under the supervision of Kim Pruitt, M.A., LMFT-S.
When not serving clients, Ali enjoys spending time with her husband and little daughter, exploring Houston’s food scene with the people they love.
