We help you move from surviving to flourishing through whole-person care that treats your entire mind, body and spirit.
At Hope & Resilience Trauma Therapy, we know pain rarely exists in one place. Trauma affects relationships. Anxiety impacts identity. Grief changes how you see yourself. Parenthood can shift everything. Through evidence based therapy and whole person care, we help individuals, couples, and families heal at the root, rebuild what feels lost, and move toward a more grounded, flourishing life.
You do not have to be in complete crisis to deserve support. Many of the people we work with are carrying grief, trauma, anger, burnout, relationship pain, or identity shifts that never had space to be processed. Therapy here is not about fixing you. It’s about pursuing healing that transforms not only how you feel, but how you live, love, and engage the world around you.
This is what moving from surviving to flourishing can begin to look like.
Healing is not only about reducing anxiety or stress. Many people begin to notice more confidence in their decisions, stronger boundaries, and a deeper trust in themselves after years of second guessing, guilt, or survival mode.
Over time, painful experiences may stop feeling like something you have to fight against every day. Many clients describe feeling lighter, more present, and able to experience joy, connection, or peace without constantly waiting for something to go wrong.
As healing happens internally, relationships often shift too. Clients may notice clearer communication, less conflict, stronger attachment, and a greater ability to give and receive support without losing themselves.
Growth often begins with understanding. Together, we explore patterns, fears, grief, trauma, and experiences that may have shaped how you cope, connect, or move through life so healing can happen at the root.
Flourishing does not mean life becomes perfect. It means feeling more grounded, resilient, and capable of moving forward with confidence, knowing support exists but trusting yourself more along the way.

Many clients arrive knowing something feels wrong but not knowing what to call it. These are some of the areas we help people navigate:
Healing from acute and complex trauma using Accelerated Resolution Therapy to reach the root of what happened, not just the symptoms it left behind.
Getting underneath recurring anxiety and low mood to find what is actually driving them, and working toward something more lasting than daily coping.
Supporting mothers through postpartum struggles, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, and an identity shift that no one else can fully prepare you to face.
Processing loss of any kind, a person, a pregnancy, a version of yourself, in a space that does not rush you toward being okay before you are ready.
Rebuilding trust, improving communication, and navigating the hardest seasons of partnership using research-backed methods for real, lasting change.
Exploring the intersection of faith and mental health, working through spiritual crises, and understanding how belief can be a real resource for healing.
Supporting people who have never had a safe place to be angry, and whose nervous systems have been quietly carrying what was never allowed to be said.
Helping parents navigate love that feels more complicated than expected, the identity shifts of new parenthood, and the weight of building a family.
We started this practice with the belief that real healing requires both quality clinical care, and a person who upholds the dignity of every individual to put it into practice. We believe that the clinical work is necessary, but it falls short without a compassionate clinician to walk alongside each person who comes into our therapy room. That’s what Hope & Resilience is designed to do. We are a group who understands that what shows up in the room is rarely the full story and that lasting change comes from working with the whole person, not just the presenting problem.
Our team brings together specialized training in trauma therapy, perinatal mental health, couples work, and experience working with children and teens, alongside a shared belief that the mind, body, and spirit all deserve to be seen. We practice in Houston and virtually across Texas, and we believe that every person has the capacity to flourish.
The first sessions are not about fixing anything. They are about listening. We learn where you have been, what brought you here, and what you actually want your life to look like. No pressure. Just an honest conversation.
This is where real movement happens, and we do it as partners. Sessions are collaborative, often difficult, and full of moments where something stuck finally shifts. You see yourself differently. Hope shows up on its own.
This is what we are working toward. Not just fewer hard days, but a life that actually feels like yours again. You begin to trust yourself fully. You keep moving forward. You carry what happened. It no longer carries you.
Each therapist brings a unique lens, background, and a shared commitment to walking alongside you with care and expertise.
Dr. Armando works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, relational fracture, and the kind of pain that has been waiting a long time to be addressed, bringing clinical depth, direct honesty, and a grounded presence into every session.
Ali specializes in perinatal mental health, parenting stress, and couples navigating major life transitions, bringing warmth, specialized ART training, and a genuine understanding of what it actually feels like to move through this kind of season.
Ginny works with children, teens, and adults, bringing a warm, grounded presence and practical tools that help clients move from anxious and disconnected to clearer, more confident, and more fully themselves.
That is exactly what our free 15-minute consultation is for. It’s a low-pressure conversation designed to help you figure out who might be the right fit before you commit to anything.
We are a private-pay practice, which means you work directly with us rather than through an insurance company. This gives us the freedom to shape your care around your actual needs and not what a policy decides is appropriate. We are happy to provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement upon request.
ART is a research-backed therapy that helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories, often in far fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy alone. It does not erase what happened. It changes the way your nervous system holds it, which changes the way you move through your daily life. We use ART alongside talk therapy because ART addresses the trauma response and talk therapy helps rebuild what trauma disrupted. As we like to say: ART puts out the fire. Talk therapy rebuilds the house.
The best way to find out is a free 15-minute consultation. We will ask a few questions, listen to where you are, and give you an honest sense of whether we are a good match. There is no commitment required. It is just a conversation, and it costs you nothing to have it.
That depends on what you are working through and how you respond to the process. We do not keep clients in therapy longer than is genuinely helpful. Our model moves from weekly sessions to biweekly to monthly as you grow more capable on your own, and we build toward a graduation. The door closes when you are ready. It is never locked behind you.
